Ex-Liverpool keeper James wants to play on after Bristol City axe

Former Liverpool and Aston Villa goalkeeper David James wants to play on next season.

James, 41, was released by Bristol City this week.

"I'm still looking to play next season," James told Sky Sports, "I've had a few little niggles, but I still feel great.

"In the meantime I've been doing my B-level coaching badges, hopefully I will be able to complete my UEFA Pro-Licence, eventually with a view to moving into management."
