Ex-Liverpool keeper James happy with Bournemouth experience

Former Liverpool and Aston Villa goalkeeper David James is enjoying his time at Bournemouth.

As a result, for the first time he can remember, James found himself playing club football over an international weekend.

"That is all part of the experience of playing at this level," said James to the Daily Express.

"Someone on the coach the other day asked when the FA Cup was starting and I said January. But I was soon told that it's November for us, in round one. The lads have been laughing at me over that one because I have never experienced the cup in November. For the best part of 20-odd years, there has been an issue of players not getting enough time off. But they play 38 games in the Premier League; here we play 46, plus the cups."
