Ex-Liverpool, Hibernian midfielder Palsson claims NYRB interest

Recently-departed Hibernian midfielder Victor Palsson claims he is in talks regarding a deal with New York Red Bulls.

The 20-year old Iceland youth international, who had his contract at Easter Road canceled earlier this month, was recently in Oslo and has revealed that he held talks with Red Bulls general manager Erik Soler whilst there.

"I am not ready to negotiate, I'm in negotiations,'' a Google translation of his quotes in fotbolti.net read.

"Sports manager for the New York Red Bulls (Soler) is Norwegian and he flew me over this morning and I am in negotiations with them now. It's been more than halfway.

"This came up to my old coach at AGF (Soler's former club) wins for Red Bull all over the world, and he told them about me a long time ago. They are ready to be following me. Now that I'm a free agent was calling me,'' Palsson added.

"This is what I want most, and I hope that this go through. Henry and Rafael Marquez are in this team, of course, this is very exciting."
