Former Liverpool defender John Scales fears they'll lose Luis Suarez this summer.

Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Manchester City are all interested in Suarez's signature despite the bad boy's misdemeanours.

Scales told the Daily Star: "It's testament to Suarez that Real Madrid are looking at him.

"Obviously he's going to have his head turned by the prospect of Champions League football.

"They are one of the world's biggest clubs. He may be tempted to go there and you can understand that.

"Liverpool have a world-class player of their books. He's had a fantastic season goal-wise and players of that calibre are few and far between.

"He's fundamentally important to Liverpool. They're not lucky enough to have a vast array of world-class players but he is one of them.

"Liverpool want to push on and challenge over the next couple of years - but it'll be difficult to keep him at the level they are at."
