Former Liverpool defender Dominic Matteo has criticised Brendan Rodgers for his work in the summer market.
Matteo says Rodgers should've worked harder to replace Luis Suarez.
"It's difficult to replace Luis Suarez, but Brendan should have tried to replace his goals," he told talkSPORT. "Liverpool should have tried to sign someone like Falcao. We had the money.
"Liverpool have not bought particularly well. People thought signing Mario Balotelli for £16m was a good buy, but he hasn't produced [the goods]. Liverpool needed to get a player who was guaranteed to score 20 to 30 goals a season. That's what they're lacking at the moment."
