Ex-Liverpool chief Purslow: Suarez will stay after unappetising incident (he did say that!)

Former Liverpool chief Christian Purslow doesn't expect Luis Suarez to be sold. Suarez is currently serving a ten-match ban for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic.

Purslow said: "He is easily the most effective and important player in the team. He is enormously valuable.

"What would a commercial enterprise get from getting rid of their most important player - probably at a discount - because of a disciplinary problem?

"No football club in the world would do that.

"I thought it was a very harsh ban. But it was a terrible incident - a very unusual, graphic, and unappetising incident."

Er, he's winding up isn't he?!! Give us your shout below...
