Former Liverpool and Chelsea chief Christian Purslow believes the Premier League will attract the world's elite.
The Premier League generates over £8bn from global television rights, dwarfing the TV revenue generated by any league across the globe.
"I think we're in the first phase of the massive financial superiority of Premier league clubs over all of their European rivals," Purslow told The Business on Sky Sports News.
"The total television income of the Premier League per year is over twice their nearest rivals Spain, three, four, five times that of Germany, France and Italy.
"In any industry that economic advantage will ultimately tell. In the first phase what we are seeing is clubs keeping hold of talent that previously would have been sold for financial reasons.
"What we will see in the next phase is the Premier League [clubs] starting to sign the cream of the crop from Europe at the peak of their careers."
