Former Liverpool chief Ian Ayre says he's happy with his new role at 1860 Munich.
Ayre has recently started a new role as managing director of second division club 1860 Munich.
Speaking at a lecture in Liverpool on Wednesday evening, he said: “When I decided to leave Liverpool I had no plan of 'what next?' But I have always felt you should challenge yourself, push yourself.
“After I decided I was leaving, I met the owner of 1860. He has a real passion for the club. It's not without controversy, but I'm used to that! He wants this club back where it belongs, and understands its part in the community in Bavaria, the type of fans it has.
“People I have spoken to, people like Mr Klopp in fact, all tell me the club will be incredible if I can fix it. That's the challenge for me and one I am excited about."
