Former Liverpool captain Mark Wright says Brendan Rodgers needs to find a vocal presence to replace Jamie Carragher.
Rodgers admits he faces a battle to replace the retired defender this summer.
Wright told liverpoolfc.com: "He had a major impact on the team. I don't think Liverpool are the most vocal of sides, but Jamie was. He was a major organiser and that in any team is essential.
"If you are going to achieve things and do things you need a leader and a leader at the back to organise.
"It's like a game of chess as you are pushing people around and pushing people in. He played everybody's game for them and he did that since he came into the side until the day he retired."
