Former Liverpool boss Gerard Houllier is wanted by Wolfsburg.

The Daily Mail says Houllier has been lined up to become coach of German champions Wolfsburg.

The former Liverpool boss would have one of his ex- Anfield players - Markus Babbel - as his assistant.

Houllier, 62, has been out of club management since 2007, after he stood down as Lyon coach, due to a fractious relationship with chairman Jean-Michel Aulas.
