Former Liverpool boss Gerard Houllier is delighted seeing Michael Owen at Manchester United.
Houllier tried to sign Owen while in charge of Aston Villa last season.
"I was not surprised to see Alex (Ferguson) give Michael another contract because he is an excellent professional; a great player to have around the dressing room," Houllier told the Daily Mail.
