Former Liverpool boss Roy Evans feels Steven Gerrard will decide this weekend's huge game with Manchester United. Evans believes if Gerrard does make his first start of the season he can be like a new signing for Kenny Dalglish's side and help fire them to a victory against their rivals.

"Stevie is the man for the big game. He's a fantastic player, it's like signing a new player for us, we haven't seen him for such a while in a full game," Evans told talkSPORT. "I think this is the right time [to start him], you've got to go in somewhere and Stevie will be chomping at the bit and hopefully he can make a difference."
