Ex-Liverpool boss Benitez still wanted by Atletico Madrid
Former Liverpool and Inter Milan boss Rafa Benitez is wanted by Atletico Madrid.
Benitez is Atletico's top candidate to succeed Gregorio Manzano, with a change expected during the Spanish Liga's winter break.
Benitez, who is still living in the Wirral, has hopes of landing another Premier League job and actually turned down Atletico in the summer.
Their chief executive Miguel Angel Gil Marin is eager to revive talks, but faces the difficult prospect of Manuel Garcia Quilon representing both Benitez and Manzano.
