Former Liverpool academy boss Frank McParland is set to move to Brentford.
The Daily Mail says McParland, who helped guide eight academy graduates towards Liverpool's first team last season, was a shock departure from Anfield last month with the club stating they wanted to move in a new direction.
However, the 54-year-old, who had also worked as the club's chief scout, has been approached by ambitious League OneBrentford and they want him to team up with Mark Warburton who has moved from sporting director to replace Uwe Rosler as first team manager.
Warburton, a former youth team coach with Watford, was the brains behind the NextGen Series that pitched some of Europe's top youth sides against each other in a tournament that mirrored the Champions League.
