Montreal Impact striker Bernardo Corradi has returned home to Italy to have an operation on his injured knee.
The 36-year old suffered torn ligaments in his knee at training last week and has since headed back home to have surgery which will keep him out for the rest of the 2012 MLS season.
On his move to Canada, former Lazio, Manchester City and Valencia attacker Corradi admitted he had begun well but unfortunately he has to now deal with an injury serious enough to put an end to his first campaign in North America.
"These things are unforeseen and happen in professional football. ""The beginning was very positive, unfortunately last week I reported a knee injury and have had short return to Italy to undergo surgery," he told tuttomercatoweb..
