New Zealand international Dan Keat has penned a new contract with Swedish side Falkenberg.
The 26-year old midfielder arrived on the western coast of Sweden from MLS club LA Galaxy at the beginning of the year and helped Falkenberg win the Swedish Superettan (second division) title in his debut campaign.
Keat managed 20 appearances, scoring four goals, as Falkenberg won promotion to the Allsvenskan and he was delighted to commit himself to the club for a further two years.
"I'm really happy to get the new deal done. There were a couple of other options to move but for me it's about playing football games right now and I think the Allsvenskan is a good stage to show myself at the next level,'' he told the NZ Herald ahead of the 2014 season which kicks off in March.
"We have a young, exciting team that I think is going to cause a lot of teams problems next year, which is why I was happy to sign for two years. I think we will only get better and better.''
