Ex-Juventus, Valencia, Bologna striker Di Vaio to make Montreal Impact debut

Marco Di Vaio is set to make his debut for Montreal Impact after signing for the club recently.

The 35-year old Italian is now eligible to play for the Impact with the transfer window opening and will get his first appearance when the Montreal club hosts Canadian rivals Toronto FC on Wednesday night.

Impact head coach Jesse Marsch is looking forward to seeing the former Juventus, Valencia and Bologna man in action.

"He's a guy that really good at stretching defences, because the runs that he makes along the line are very intelligent and he times his runs really well," said Marsch.

"He's very gifted in terms of different ways to finish plays, of setting up plays. His eye for scoring goals and setting up attacking plays makes him unique and different."
