Ex-Juventus, Real Madrid defender Cannavaro: I wish I had closed career with Napoli

Former Juventus and Real Madrid defender Fabio Cannavaro regrets not closing out his career with Napoli.

He did play for Napoli as a youngster before moving on to Parma, Real Madrid, Inter, Juventus and eventually Al-Ahli.

“I started my career at Napoli and would’ve wanted to retire with a Napoli shirt on my back too,” Cannavaro told Radio Deejay.

“It disappoints me that I was not able to be what Paolo Maldini was for Milan or Francesco Totti for Roma. I had hoped to become a symbol of my hometown club.”
