Ex-Juventus defender Iuliano banned for two years

Former Juventus and Messina defender Mark Iuliano has been hit with a two-year ban after failing a drugs test.

The one time Italian international tested positive for traces of cocaine after the Serie B match between Ravenna and Cesena in June.

The CONI Anti-Doping Commission had requested a two-year ban and that was upheld by the FIGC Federal Court.

"Iuliano was responsible for the violation attributed to him and we inflict a two-year ban to begin from the date of his precautionary suspension on July 3, 2008," read the verdict.
