Former Juventus sports director Luciano Moggi has told his old club to keep their chequebook closed.
Moggi has urged the board not to make any panic buys.
"I think Juventus should have remained passive. I would not even have signed Toni," Moggi told Quotidiano.net.
"I understand the injury crisis, but Juventus have Vincenzo Iaquinta coming back, Amauri and Alessandro Del Piero who can still give plenty.
"Buying just for the sake of it makes no sense at all. Neither would I buy Forlan or Fabiano. No point in making investments without thinking.
"Juventus are good enough to fight for fourth place with the team they have."
