Former Juventus general manager Luciano Moggi says Italy won't make the World Cup quarterfinals.
Moggi claims the Azzurri needs a complete overhaul.
"We can forget about getting to the quarter-finals, semis or Final. Our best hope is to make a good impression," he told ReteCapri.
"Italy needs to be completely revamped. We simply haven't churned out champions for a long time."
Moggi is unimpressed by both the remaining 2006 World Cup winners and the new faces.
"Fabio Cannavaro has class, but his passport has expired. Gianluca Zambrotta and Gennaro Gattuso have run out of petrol. We shouldn't expect much from the Azzurri.
"There are teams far stronger than we are, starting from Argentina, even if they left Esteban Cambiasso and Javier Zanetti behind.
"Brazil and England are good, but let's not underestimate Paraguay, who in qualifying beat both Brazil and Argentina."
