Ex-Juventus chief Moggi: I helped Italy win World Cup

Disgraced former Juventus football chief Luciano Moggi claims he was instrumental in Italy winning the 2006 World Cup.

"All I ever hear are repeated lies about me and I'm sick of it," Moggi raged.

Moggi's son Alessandro is an agent and he has been accused of enticing players to sign for his organisation called GEA World with promises that his father would find them lucrative contracts.

"Now they are saying that I feigned interest in a Fiorentina youth player who I hadn't even heard of to help my son.

"Yet nobody says how I brought 10 players and the Coach to La Nazionale level and won us the World Cup."
