Former Inter Milan midfielder Felipe Melo is delighted with his move to Palmeiras.

Melo was allowed to move home by Inter yesterday.

"I am fulfilling the dream to return to Brazil, among other things at an age that still allows me to run and do my job without any problems," he said.

"I thank God for giving me this opportunity to return to play in a club as important as Palmeiras. Wearing this uniform is a great honor. It left me impressed, the affection of the fans, even before I signed the contract they made me feel like one of Palmeiras.

"I played the Copa Libertadores with clubs like Flamengo and Cruzeiro. With the first I was a starter, with the latter not. Now I get to play this tournament with Palmeiras, a club that aims for victory, and as a major player."
