Former Inter Milan coach Gigi Simoni has slammed Jose Mourinho.

Reacting to reports linking Mourinho with a move to Real Madrid, Simoni barked: "That really would be good news and good riddance.

"Maybe that way we'd get a little peace and quiet. He is a great Coach and nobody is disputing that, but he has an exaggerated and disrespectful way of approaching situations.

"Just look at the way he behaved with Mario Beretta and Claudio Ranieri."

Earlier this term Mourinho continually referred to Lecce boss Beretta as 'Barnetta' and said Ranieri had "a loser's mentality."

"Mourinho is intelligent, if he went to Spain then perhaps there would be less talk of his controversy and more about actual football," continued the current Gubbio Coach on Radio Kiss Kiss.

"He should have more respect for Italian football, which after all has won the World Cup four times."
