Australia's domestic competition could soon be welcoming another Italian World Cup winner according to La Gazetta dello Sport.
With Juventus great Alessandro Del Piero already sealing a two-year deal with Sydney FC, it is being reported that Fabio Grosso could be joining his former Azzurri and Juve teammate in the A-League.
The 34-year old left-back has previously been linked with a move down under but he wanted to remain in Europe, however, without an offer from the mainland, he is now looking to make the shift to Australia's shores.
Grosso, who has played for the likes of Perugia, Palermo, Inter Milan and Lyon as well as close to 50 times for Italy, is best remembered in Australia for winning a controversial penalty which knocked the Socceroos out of the 2006 World Cup which the Italians went on to win.
