Former Hertha Berlin coach Lucien Favre is being heavily linked with the vacant coaching job at MLS club DC United.

Reports have emerged that the 53-year old Swiss tactician has been interviewed for the role but it is not quite clear whether he will be offered the gig or not.

It turns out that Favre's son, Loic, works for the soccer division of Wasserman Management Group, which represents numerous athletes around the world and has an office in Bethesda, Maryland, hence the connection of having a meeting with DC.

Favre Snr was an accomplished player back in France and Switzerland, playing for clubs such as Toulouse and Servette, as well as the Swiss national team and has been in the coaching game since 1993.
