Ex-Hamburg striker Berisha hits four as Brisbane Roar annihilate Adelaide United

Albanian international Besart Berisha has scored four goals as A-League champions Brisbane Roar smashed Adelaide United 7-1 at Suncorp Stadium on Friday night.

Despite falling behind when Reds attacker Dario Vidosic scored in the fifth minute, the Roar kicked into gear to score five goals in just over 15 minutes before half-time to take a 5-1 lead into the break.

Brazilian winger Henrique leveled when he converted from the penalty spot in the 21st minute before former Hamburg, Burnley and Arminia Bielefeld striker Berisha grabbed a quickfire hat-trick with goals in the 23rd, 27th and 29th minutes before Henrique added a second with another penalty eight minutes before half-time.

The goal spree for the Roar did not end there with Berisha making it 6-1 with his fourth with just over 20 minutes left before substitute Issey Nakajima-Farran finished the rout in the 81st minute.

The victory was the fourth in four games this season and takes Brisbane's unbeaten streak to a remarkable 32 games.
