Heracles Almelo defender Antoine van der Linden believes Liverpool will only be a stepping stone for Luis Suarez to bigger things.

Van der Linden played with Suarez at FC Groningen.

"I am convinced that after Liverpool he'll go to an even higher level," said the veteran.

"He was so funny at Groningen. He'd always be in the dressing room with a thermos full of hot tea and drink it before games. He just didn't look interested, but then would explode into life when the whistle blew."
