The 20-year old former Gold Coast United youth star played his first game for Croatian club Hajduk Split on the weekend and it could not have come any bigger as it was the club's 100th year celebrations and they took on Catalan giants Barcelona.
Lustica, who came on in the 60th minute at the Stadion Poljud, was in good spirits after the match saying it was a great experience to take on such world-class opponents.
"It's something you can't really put into words," Lustica told au.fourfourtwo.com. "I was just so excited [waiting to come on]. I wasn't nervous just excited.
"For me it just felt like a dream to play against Iniesta and also David Villa. When you see these sorts of players close up like Iniesta, he's on another planet."
And for the record, Hajduk and Barcelona drew 0-0 in front of more than 30,000 fans in a dream debut for Lustica.
"It's all felt like a dream. It's something I'll never forget," he added.
