Jean Tigana has officially been announced as the new manager of Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shenhua.
The former Lyon, Monaco, Fulham, Besiktas and Bordeaux boss has taken the reins at Shanghai, who have also recently signed Nicolas Anelka from Chelsea.
Tigana revealed that he was looking forward to a new challenge in another country after spurning management opportunities in Europe.
"I am privileged to be here. I found a new challenge here. This is not a financial choice - it is a sporting and life decision.""I could have gone to England or Turkey," Tigana said over the weekend.
