Ex-Fulham, Everton star Collins wanted at Monaco

Former Fulham and Everton star John Collins continues to enjoy success on the continent.

Collins has denied agreeing to succeed Ricardo Gomes as coach of former club Monaco.

Collins, who played for the principality for two years between 1996 and 1998, will leave his post as manager of Belgian side Charleroi after Saturday's final game of the season.

Monaco have struggled this season and currently sit 10th in the Ligue 1 table, well adrift of European qualification.

Former Hibernian boss Collins, 41, told L'Equipe he is "not thinking of a move" to Monaco.

"I am perhaps on a list (to succeed Ricardo) but I haven't had any contact with the club," he added.
