Former Nottingham Forest striker Patrick Bamford struck the winner on his Chelsea reserves debut against Fulham.

Bamford impressed on his debut for the club and scored the winner, but while his goal will steal the headlines, coach Dermot Drummy has been even more impressed with his approach away from the field of play.

"He's a great lad, he's applied himself and already you can see the boys have taken to him, he works hard, he's very strong and his anticipation for chances is impressive," admitted Drummy on chelseafc.com.

"He looks a good prospect, but the nicest thing for me is that he wants to apply himself."
