Promising Australian striker Nikita Rukavtysya has signed with German 2.Bundesliga club Hertha Berlin.
The 22-year old Ukraine-born Australian international was released from his contract with Dutch champions FC Twente at the end of last season, prior to his duties with the Socceroos at the World Cup, but has swiftly found a new home.
Rukavtysya spent part of last season on loan with Belgian club KSV Roeselare and there were initially rumours he may join the Jupiler League club permanently but after came Hertha came in with an enquiry, the former Perth Glory man decided to move to Germany.
Hertha finished 18th in the Bundesliga last year which led them to being relegated to the second tier.
