Former FC Dallas striker Jeff Cunningham will head to Norway to train with a club as he ponders the next phase of his career.
The 34-year old was taken in the 2010 MLS Re-Entry Draft by old club Columbus Crew but it seems that they have passed up the chance to sign him on a permanent deal.
Therefore, Cunningham will travel to Norway to join a Tippeligaen outfit, tipped to be Randers FC, to see if anything pops up abroad.
"He's about to head over to train with a top flight Norwegian club," his representative Jan Schiefloe told MLSsoccer.com. "He's scheduled to be there a week.
"We are still waiting on final confirmation from Randers."
But Schiefloe insisted that Cunningham was keen on a move to Columbus or to at least remain in the USA.
"We are still talking with Columbus," said Schiefloe. "Jeff's first preference is MLS."
