Former Everton striker Phil Jevons was delighted to lock horns with Notts County star signing Sol Campbell in Morecambe's victory on Saturday.

Jevons said: "You definitely raise your game when you are playing against somebody like him.

"It was a great occasion," Jevons added. "There was more of an atmosphere than usual and that brought more out of our players. 'Sol was a little bit off today. But I am sure a few more games will give him that sharpness back in his feet. I can say that he is still strong as an ox in the air."
