Former Everton striker Kevin Campbell feels David Moyes deserves the Manchester United job.

Campbell says the Scot has similar traits to retiring United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

"I think David Moyes has earned his stripes as a manager," the ex-striker told talkSPORT.

"Following in the footsteps of someone who has done such a great job, like Sir Alex Ferguson has, is going to be tough but David Moyes deserves his chance.

"The fans are used to Sir Alex Ferguson being at the helm but things do change and with David Moyes going in they have got a really good manager taking over.
