Former Everton captain Phil Neville is convinced by the quality of Tom Davies.

The 18-year-old midfielder launched himself into the spotlight by scoring in Everton's 4-0 rout of Manchester City last weekend.

He told Sky Sports: "I spent a bit of time with him in the England Under-17s and he's got a really impressive attitude.

"He's got that determination, that belief in his own ability and you can have talent but you also need opportunity.

"I think Tom will get the opportunity, he's definitely got the talent.

"I've got no doubt in my mind he'll have a big future at Everton."
