Former England defender Jonathan Woodgate has taken up an academy role at ChampionshipMiddlesbrough.
The 37 year old former Boro player has now been appointed as the club's Under-18s assistant coach under Mark Tinkler.
Academy manager Craig Liddle told the club's official website, www.mfc.co.uk: "Jonathan brings a wealth of experience to this role and it's great to have him on board working with the young players in the Academy.
"He played at the very top and is someone who the young players can look up to and learn from him.
"He is a great personality to have around, his enthusiasm is infectious, he has worked with the young players before here, and he is very much looking forward to the role."
