Former England national team boss Kevin Keegan is being loosely linked with the vacant Blackburn Rovers job.
The former Newcastle, Fulham and Manchester City boss has made it clear he would like to get back into the managerial caper after resigning from his role as Magpies boss in September 2008.
Keegan was installed as Newcastle manager in January of that year, ironically replacing Sam Allardyce whose job he would be taking if Rovers' new owners, Venky's, happen to install him.
Keegan is an ambitious man who was not given the resources he needed at St James' Park and would feel that the Rao brothers have what he needs to push the Lancashire club further up the table.
In a separate report, it suggests that Diego Maradona is being pursued for the vacant role but could also be offered the technical director's position, making for an interesting case that could potentially see Keegan step in as the manager with Maradona alongside him in a less hands-on role.
