Ex-Dutch star Mulder: Lukaku made for Man Utd. Right man in right place

Former Dutch star Jan Mulder is delighted for Romelu Lukaku over his move to Manchester United.

Writing for HLN, the ex-Ajax and Anderlecht striker is convinced Lukaku will be a success with United.

Mulder declared: "The pressure on Lukaku is immense. Can he handle that pressure? Will he succumb to it? The experts are split about Lukaku and his future.

"There's one who finds him technically not good enough for United. The other is convinced he succeeds. Lukaku reads and hears all, because: the pressure is getting bigger. But without reading and listening, he feels the pressure of his towering cost and the powerful club for which he must perform.

"I think it's simple. Top players enjoy pressure - and then there is no pressure but pleasure. Is Lukaku such a topman? The audience of the Red Devils will not love him for playing quietly.

"Last season, during the contest of Belgium - Bosnia and Herzegovina in the King Baudouin Stadium, Lukaku suffered unbearably hard derision after one missed opportunity by his own supporters. Two minutes later he scored with a beautiful shot and then put a hand behind his ear.

"Lukaku has a striker mentality and is the right man in the right place at Manchester United. I'm looking forward to 30 goals in his first season. In the second, the pressure is automatically increased, because you have to make 30 again or preferably 35. Imagine the pressure. And so on, and so on."
