Former Dundee striker Mickael Antoine-Curier is attracting interest from Chicago Fire according to the Evening Times.
The French-born Guadeloupe international was the victim of the Scottish club falling into administration and has been without a club since that occurred late last year.
It is believed that Hamilton Academical, where the 27-year old spent part of last season on loan, are keen on the free agent alongside the Fire.
Antoine-Curier has trained with the Accies recently and admitted he wouldn't mind ending up at the club although he did say that there was outside interest.
"I trained with Hamilton last week and I have a lot of friends at the club and respect Billy Reid a great deal," he said.
"There is other interest in my services, but I enjoyed my time with Hamilton last season and we will have more talks this week and I hope to have a medical. I am just very hungry to get back playing and it is great to be injury-free."
