Giles Barnes opened his scoring account for new club Houston Dynamo as they cruised past Salvadoran club CD FAS 4-0 in the CONCACAF Champions League.
The former Derby County and West Bromwich Albion opened the scoring at BBVA Compass Stadium in the 21st minute with a well-struck effort into the top corner.
That goal kicked things off for the Dynamo with Bobby Boswell making it 2-0 on the stroke of half-time with a header across the face and in from the six-yard box.
Cam Waver added a third five minutes in the second half prior to second-half sub Calen Carr's 78th minute chip to wrap up proceedings.
The win has the Dynamo sitting on top of Group 3 with seven points from three matches ahead of their home clash with Olimpia on October 24.
The match was Barnes' second appearance for Houston after he came on as a late sub in the weekend's 1-1 draw with Sporting Kansas City following his move from Doncaster Rovers late last month.
