Ex-Czech star Lubos Kubik appointed USA assistant coach

Former Cezch international Lubos Kubik has been appointed as the new assistant coach of the USA national team.

Head coach Bob Bradley has previously worked with Kubik, who has coaching experience in the Czech Republic, Poland and England, and was delighted to announce the USA's latest addition to the coaching roster.

"Lubos brings a tremendous amount of experience at both the professional and international level," said Bradley. "We have worked together in the past, and I have a lot of respect for him as a player, a coach, and a person. His understanding of the game will be an important asset for our team."

Kubik has an extensive playing record as well, having been capped 56 times at international level as well as playing top flight football in the Czech Republic, Italy, France and Germany and spending four years in MLS with Chicago Fire and Dallas Burn.

Kubik was also Peter Nowak's top assistant with the U.S. Men's Olympic Team in 2008.
