Former Arsenal and Crystal Palace striker Marouane Chamakh has been offered to Djurgarden IF of Sweden.
However, DIF has decided to pass on the free agent.
"I can only conclude that this is a period where it can pop up very many distinguished names. When other windows are closed abroad the Allsvenskan becomes an attractive league," said DIF's sporting director Bosse Andersson to fotbolldirekt.se.
"This applies to all the clubs, the players looking for clubs look wide and they're offered to several clubs."
