Sacked Crystal Palace boss Frank de Boer has been urged to return to the Eredivisie to kickstart his career.

De Boer has lasted barely months in his last two jobs with Palace and Inter Milan.

AD reporter Sjoerd Mossou feels he needs to return home to rebuild his reputation.

"There are some clubs to think about where he could start again. Then you think about Ajax, but it's the question of returning there. You could also think of AZ or FC Twente," he said.

"Why would De Boer not consider those clubs? The coaching there is just as competitive."
