Ex-Crystal Palace boss Coppell taking charge of Kerala Blasters

Former Crystal Palace and Reading boss Steve Coppell is joining the Indian Super League.

Coppell has agreed to take over as manager of Indian Super League side Kerala Blasters, Sky Sports says.

The former Crystal Palace and Reading boss is set to be confirmed as the new manager of the Cochin-based outfit – co-owned by Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar – this week, ahead of the third edition of the ISL.

Coppell will become Kerala's fourth English manager, following on from former England U21 and Leicester boss Peter Taylor, former Chelsea and Man City full-back Terry Phelan, and ex-England international goalkeeper David James.
