With injuries and suspension ravaging the Sydney FC squad, Football Superstar winner Adam Hett is being considered for the season opener against Melbourne Victory at the Sydney Football Stadium on August 16.
Originally, the winner of the competition was to play solely for the Sydney FC youth team in the A-League's inaugural National Youth League but due to a run of bad luck in the Sydney camp, the youngster may need to be used in the first team.
Speaking to AAP, coach John Kosmina said, "We've got a few injuries and suspensions for the first game, but it's something I'd really have to consider in the next week.
"It's a big thing for him to come from where he was to where he'd be expected to be, but it's not out of the question.
"I like that he's not trying to impress for tricks. He gets out of difficult situations; he's quite competent and comfortable on the ball."
Hett is a former Coventry City trainee.
