Chicago Fire have confirmed the signing of Jamaican defender Shaun Francis.
The 26-year old former Columbus Crew man will become a part of the Fire's roster as soon as he receives his P1 Visa.
Francis joins the Fire after beginning the 2013 season with USL Pro side Charlotte Eagles and will add plenty to Chicago's squad according to president of soccer operations Javier Leon.
"Shaun is a player that we've had our eye on for some time," said Leon. "He is a strong, powerful defender with experience in MLS and will provide additional depth along our backline."
