Quincy Amarikwa is on trial with New York Red Bull after being released by Colorado Rapids.

The 24-year old forward was waived by the Rapids on June 28 and is now training with the Red Bulls with the view to winning a contract.

Amarikwa, who was initially drafted by San Jose Earthquakes in 2009 before moving to Colorado the following year, will begin by playing with New York's reserves with a senior deal a possibility if he performs.
