Former Chelsea striker Mateja Kezman is eyeing a contract with an A-League club.
The ex-Serbian international, who counts Partizan Belgrade, PSV Eindhoven, Atletico Madrid, Fenerbahce and Paris Saint-Germain as other former clubs, is without a club after finishing his contract with Hong Kong outfit South China FC.
He has already spoken of his interest about a possible move to North America's Major League Soccer but now his agent in Australia, James Hardy, says a move down under is a possibility.
"Kezman is the perfect marquee player for the A League," James Hardy, the player agent representing Kezman in Australia, exclusively told au.fourfourtwo.com. "He has scored over 238 goals in 470 games in Europe's top leagues, a record that speaks for itself.
"Because of the sound performances of the Australian national team over the last few years, Australian football in general is slowly gaining credibility.
"It is not going to be easy [to get Kezman to Australia], he has interest from all over the world, however if we can bring him here the benefits for Australian football would be astronomical."
